The 2009 and 2010 elections held a cornucopia of issues as well as candidates for the state of Maine. US Representative Mike Michaud had an opponent, Jason Levesque, and there were "Peoples' Vetoes" regarding gay marriage, repeal of state-mandated school consolidation, TABOR 2, and a medical marijuana initiative.
