December 2, 2010 -- I sat down with Eugene Conlogue who is, among other things, the Vice President of the Maine Woods Coalition, and we talked about the perils of a North Woods National Park.
We spoke about the online petition which purports to be sponsored by the National Park Service, the push for a national park and why people who live in rural Maine oppose it, Mr. Obama's "America's Great Outdoors" initiative, the os-called "Listening Session" in Bangor, the Northern Forest Alliance, and the part the preservationists played in the demise of Great Northern Paper/Inexcon.
