April 21, 2010 -- I had coffee at Dysart's in Bangor with Republican
candidate for Governor, Les Otten. We talked about his job plan, keeping
capital in the state of Maine, insurance costs, regulatory reform,
education, and energy.the railroad bond and alternatives to subsidizing
the railroad.
I got two interesting quotes from Les, and since I couldn't decide which
I found more interesting, I thought I'd just give them both to you
here:
"Almost one out of every four Mainers is on some form of government
assistance, which means that when you're walking down the street, one
out of four people has their hand in your wallet and they're getting
something from your work."
-=and=-
"We could grow twice as many potatoes, and peel twice as many potatoes, and process twice as many potatoes if we had LNG in Aroostook County."
